Their knowledge remained, especially those that rescue and memorize the relationships of thèse peoples with nature, in this way, the etiological narratives, that is, the legends, myths and reports of the original peoples that show the causes, reasons, foundations, and bases of the existence of some element of their cultures, serve as oral documentation that attests to and justifies the existence of any anthropocultural or natural element. That said, we propose to show how, in the Paraguayan (Argentine/Brazilian) etiological legends Muä, Ka'a and Ka'a lary, explain the existence of polytheism/religious syncretism (Caipora, Tupà), the elements of fauna (vagalume) , flora (yerba mate) and anthropocultural aspects of the original peoples with the Guaranis who inhabited these parts here. To develop our bibliographic and qualitative research, we based it on studies by Montesino (2019), Campbell (1949, 1991), Eliade (1972), Bayard (2002), Thompson (1992), among others that deal with the literature of Peoples originating from Latin America. The preliminary results obtained from the analysis of the etiological elements of the aforementioned legends show us that the worldview of the original ethnicities was different from ours, as in addition to being in-depth knowledge of nature, they respected it, as they considered themselves an integral part of it.
In order to do this, the networks of meanings of the founding of Tocantins are analysed as a disruptive process that affects the meanings of "creation" and "foundation" of the newest state in the Brazilian federation. The theoretical-methodological approach adopted is based on the well-established references of Discourse Analysis, applied to a discourse by Siqueira Campos, the former governor of Tocantins, delivered in the Chamber of Deputies on 5 May 2004.
2024-12-26T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23181Disqualification of the other and intertextual mobilizations in controversial interactions about the Bill (PL) 580/2007 2024-05-07T21:15:44-03:00Ozeias Evangelista de Oliveira Juniorozeias.junior@discente.ufma.brJasmin Costa Mendesjasmin.costa@discente.ufma.brNoemy Prazeres Sousanoemy.sousa@discente.ufma.brJoão da Silva Araújo Júniorjoao.junio@ufma.br
The expansion of social networks and the discussions that unfold within them, arising from themes in the social sphere, have intensified the flow of discourses that intersect antagonistically in these networks. Therefore, this research aims to analyze, based on controversial interactions about PL 508/2007, how intertextual processes are mobilized in controversial interactions with the aim of disqualifying the other. The theoretical foundation uses studies on public controversy (AMOSSY, 2017), the classification of the ad hominem argument (FIORIN, 2015), the interface between Textual Linguistics and the Theory of Argumentation in Discourse (CAVALCANTE et al. 2020) and intertextuality with regard to strict and broad intertextual processes (CARVALHO,2018). To analyze the data, we selected a publication from the profile @ivetesangalo, in which the singer takes a position on the bill (PL) 580/2007. From this publication, we will analyze two controversial interactions carried out in the comments. The analysis revealed that intertextuality is mobilized in controversial interactions with the intention of disqualifying the other and continuing to link to new ideas and propagate themselves in virtual environments, with the argumentative proposal of defending the speaker's point of view.
2024-12-26T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23323Silencing and effects of media success: MC Pipokinha's words about a teacher2024-07-25T20:14:19-03:00Isabella Cristina Morais do Nascimentoisabella.cristina@mail.uft.edu.brThiago Barbosa Soaresthiago.soares@mail.uft.edu.brDamião Francisco Boucherboucherplace@gmail.com
This article analyzes the discourse of media success in the words of MC Pipokinha, seeking to answer how the effects of success constitute power relations and, consequently, the imaginary formations about the successful subject and the teacher. With the theoretical-methodological framework of Discourse Analysis, especially the notions of power relations and imaginary formations, among others of equal value, we also seek to answer to what extent the projections of success materialize the class struggle, as well as the apparent dissolution of high culture and low culture in contemporary society. For this undertaking, the media's filigree statements about MC Pipokinha were used as a corpus based on a response given to a fan in a video on Instagram, broadcast on March 6th. Furthermore, the study explores the impact of digital platforms and social networks on the propagation of MC Pipokinha's speech. In the end, we seek to reflect on the role of the singer as a public figure who not only reflects, but also refracts the projection of imaginary formations about the successful subject.
2025-01-02T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23469The Pedagogical Practices of Portuguese Language Teachers in High School with the Argumentative Typology2024-04-29T12:23:56-03:00Ellen Rodriguesellen_unasp@hotmail.comMaria Aparecida Gomesmarcia.gomes@eaportal.org
The article aims to analyze the results of pedagogical practices with the argumentative typology by Portuguese language teachers who work in High School. The research is qualitative in nature and inspired by action research as a theoretical-methodological principle, based on the parameters established by Tripp (2005). The theoretical assumptions are based on Imbernón (2010); Nóvoa (1991); Marcuschi (2002, 2005); Koch (2000, 2004). The results indicate teachers' interest in different types of language use and strategies for teaching through argumentative texts. However, the data analyzed point to the participants' lack of knowledge regarding types of arguments, referential mechanisms and the use of connectors, as well as metacognitive and contextual strategies for reading and interpreting the text, essential for the student's argumentative ability.
2024-12-26T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23301Discourse on urbanity: an analysis of the growing increase in apartment residents in Tocantins 2024-06-24T11:24:02-03:00Thiago Barbosa Soaresthiago.soares@mail.uft.edu.br
In view of the objective of examining the power relations that constitute the discourse of urbanity present in the news “Número de pessoas que moram em apartamento cresce de 12 mil para 38 mil no Tocantins” (LAURIS, 2024), published on the information portal G1, on March 4, 2024, this article mobilizes the recognized method of Discourse Analysis, through some of its operational concepts, namely: the notions of discursive formation, utterance, device and episteme. These, after being set in motion in the process of describing and interpreting power relations in the text under examination, implement the proposition outlined for this investigation. Among the results found, there is the relationship between the media device, vehicle of utterance, relating to both the conservative discursive formation and the developmental episteme.
2024-12-26T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23169Control devices: an archegenealogical analysis of religious establishments in Tocantins2024-02-27T16:40:24-03:00Thiago Barbosa Soaresthiago.soares@mail.uft.edu.br
This article aims to examine the power relations involved in the constitution of the institutions in the State of Tocantins, especially religious establishments, associated with health and education. To this end, we use the renowned qualitative-interpretive method of Discourse Analysis aimed at the heuristic description of the meanings present in the article entitled “Tocantins tem mais estabelecimentos religiosos do que instituições de educação e saúde, revela IBGE” (JARDIM, 2024), published in Jornal Opção. In this way, the notions of device operations, statement, discursive formation and episteme are mobilized, from which the reading of the outlined object is verticalized. As a result of this investigation, it was verified, beyond the scope of the proposition outlined for this article, the internal constituents of the news statement, the alignment of the device, and the anchoring of knowledge arranged in the object in a progressive discursive formation and in an egalitarian episteme.
2024-12-26T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23022Walking the paths of Sankofa : ethnic-racial relations in PPGLI/UFAC dissertations2024-05-09T07:52:51-03:00Jardel Silva Françajardelfranca2509@gmail.com
This text aims to identify the products developed with an ethnic-racial focus in the Postgraduate Program in Letters: Language and Identity, showing the activities that are developed within the program. However, the current educational system shows a noticeable lack of encouragement for reading. The time allocated to reading is minimal compared to the time dedicated to teaching grammar, and when literary texts are studied in the classroom, their role often focuses on teaching Portuguese grammar. In our article, we aim to address the reality of students growing up in a society with little encouragement for reading literary texts and less access to books, as evidenced by the low literacy rates in Brazil according to the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) 2023. Our research is based on actionresearch and bibliographic studies with a qualitative approach and a dialectical focus, as we investigate a
social reality and the factors that influence it, analyzing reading encouragement practices in the classroom considering the new educational guidelines proposed by the BNCC (National Common Curricular Base) in a public elementary school in Parintins – AM. Our theoretical framework includes studies by Calvino (2002), Cosson (2014; 2020), Culler (1999), Freire (1989; 1992), Lajolo (2011), Todorov (2009), and Zilberman (1991). Thus, we will demonstrate that the classroom, the school, and the family can inspire children and adolescents to embrace reading, not merely as an educational requirement to distinguish students, but to highlight the benefits that the reading habit provides.
2024-12-26T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://cajapio.ufma.br/index.php/littera/article/view/23227ENGERAMENTO AND OTHER STORIES: oral narratives in the district of Barreira do Andirá2024-03-09T14:53:14-03:00Dilce Pio Nascimentodpnascimento@uea.edu.brÉrica Tridade Costalet18@uea.edu.brHeloísa Reis Curvelohrc.matos@ufma.br
With this research we aim to discuss oral literature, more precisely the presence and sociocultural function of oral narratives in riverside communities in the Amazon. For this, we opted for field research, carried out through open interviews, through storytelling, with the help of Oral History, to collect its most natural manifestations, the varied stories disseminated by the elderly in the community of Barreira do Andirá, municipality of Barreirinha/AM, place of origin of the researcher's family. The main objectives of the referred research were to collect oral narratives of older people, residents of the District of Barreira do Andirá, with the purpose of rescuing the oral narratives that are part of the history of the community. The research approach was qualitative, since the intention of this work did not focus only on collecting narratives, but on understanding the importance of the act of telling stories, and which important elements were present in each of them. From the data collected, it was possible to learn more about the historical and cultural construction of the region, as well as to understand the influences of technology on the daily lives of those individuals, and how these oral narratives are currently being worked on. The place where the narratives were collected was the community of Barreira do Andirá, located in a border area between the municipalities of Parintins and Barreirinha, where approximately 206 families live, mainly composed of farmers and fishermen. The research subjects were five residents of the District: Antônio Gonçalves Viana, Maria do Carmo, Moisés Viana, Paulo Sérgio dos Santos Trindade and Basílio Tenório. The criterion for choosing these people was primarily their age, since the researcher focused on the narratives of the oldest residents. The fact that these residents belonged to the families that led to the founding of that village was also taken into consideration. The main theorists who supported this research were Ong (1998), Zumthor (1993 and 2000), Bosi (1979), Benjamim (1987), Cascudo (2006) and Freitas (2006).
