Transnational forms of activism involve,in part, practices in which the relationship between society and the State is even more problematic than with “local” action. Observation of them can therefore involve empirical and theoretical strategies. This article aims to expose strategies, linked to “field” identification and the internationalization processes. The article examines the ways to grasp the division of labor in these international organizations, and to track individual trajectories of transnational activism. It then examines the opportunities for international activist events offered by surveys.
