Tradução de ensaio de Malcolm Gee sobre o artista alemão Heinrich Zille. O autor analisa a trajetória de Zille, desde seu início como litógrafo anônimo até o momento em que é aceito como artista pela Secessão de Berlim e passa a assinar suas obras.
