Abstract

This article explores the concept of transparency developed by Byung Chul Han and how it manifests itself in an increasingly pornographic modernity. The author rescues the concept of libertinism, considered the cornerstone of Enlightenment thought, which inaugurated modernity and is literary intertwined in the work of the Marquis de Sade. Therefore, this modernity can be described as sadistic.
