Environmental impacts on protected areas become frequent in urban areas where it is constant the
conflict in the “Man - Nature” relationship. In the city of Goiânia there are 192 protected areas registered with distinct distribution between regions and highlighting the concentration of 25 areas in the Northwest region, which is a peripheral region of the city whose occupational processes were spontaneous or induced by public policies. Our objective was to analyze the pressure and environmental impacts on the Estrela Dalva urban forest remnant from 1975 to 2016, by analyzing aerial photographs and satellite images and applying the environmental impact matrix in the study area. The results showed that the urban forest remnant reduced 85% of its area. The application of the Leopold matrix proved to be innovative in the identification and weighting of high magnitude environmental impact typologies, highlighting impacts such as edge effect and canopy gap opening.
