This article aims to identify the processes related to changes in the way of life of old farmers and fishermen and in the agricultural spaces of Ratones, one of the neighborhoods of Florianópolis (SC), in addition to knowing the implications of these changes on the permanence of agricultural practices on site. For the theoretical framework, the concepts of socio-spatial formation, place, territory and urban agriculture are applied, in addition to their derivatives, which are currently used in the field of geography and social science studies. The methodology used in data collection is qualitative, consisting of semi-structured interviews and life stories of local residents, in addition to documentary analysis. The study shows that deterritorialization and reterritorialization processes marked the dynamics of agricultural spaces, signaling, on the one hand, the resistance of ancient agricultural practices and, on the other, the emergence of urban agriculture as a result of the observed territorialities.
