Abstract

ABSTRACT

The paper offers a general view of the different conceptions the mexican governments have had of the Caribbean during the last two centuries. Developed out of the documentary of the Foreign Affairs Office, and considering the government’s performance, it relates those notions and it’s transformations with the internal situation in Mexico and the international context where various interests were confronted.
