Abstract

The article discusses new conformations of the precariousness of teaching work, such as the platformization of work, engendered by the particular commodification of Brazilian education leveraged by investment funds and corporations. It
conceptualizes commodification as a contemporary expression of the structural crisis and the corresponding financialization. It examines the commodification movement underway in the country through explanatory categorizations referenced in the
scope of the expanded reproduction of capital (Marx, O Capital). It discusses the context of the cultural war underway in Brazil and the new opportunities for capital advancement, especially for technology corporations (BigTechs) that, in line with international organizations, have placed the Covid-19 pandemic as an opportunity for new business in the education field. It concludes by indicating axes for the defense of non-market public education.
