Abstract

The paper aims to analyze the regressive process of social policies in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and the set of fiscal adjustment measures of ultraliberal character of the Bolsonaro government. To this end, the authors focus their analyzes on remote work, working conditions and their repercussions on the health of teachers in public higher education and on the financing of basic education, with a special focus on the federal government's financial assistance actions to entities subnational federates, considering the implications of the pandemic in the context of the capital project for education as opposed to the project of defense of public education as a human right. The reflections presented in the text are built from exploratory bibliographical and documentary research and from the accumulation of debates and analyzes in the field of political action by the authors in defense of public education.
