Abstract

we presente in this work the concept of living and used territories according to Santos (2011) and existential territories Guattarri (1992), as used in the research “Cartography of Social Assistance Surveillance: na action research experience in the territory of Baixo Parnaíba/MA”, and the sócio-environmental conflicts that take place in the region, analyzed in a critical and totality perspective. In the second session, we discussed the concepts of territory and decentralized in relation to public policies, with emphasis on Social Assistance and challenges for incorporating the concepto of living/used territotoru in the daily work carried out by teams in territorialized public facilities. In the third session, we problematize power relations, the notion of resistance and its necessary ethical root.
