Abstract

The present article, based on bibliographical research, is based on the critique of political economy as a method of analysis. We seek to trace an itinerary about the capitalist mode of production and the original accumulation of capital, whose colonization of different peoples and nations are central analytical keys; as well as, to stick to the substantive changes in the imperialist phase. Analyzing the Latin American reality, as a "contradictory unity", we seek, through the contributions of TMD, to establish the argumentative nexuses, focusing on the character of dependency, subordination and its specific tendencies in the international division of labor and world market, postulating the sui generis character of the countries of the region. This is the fundamental stage of the class struggle in the past-present, which gains its own determinations and mediations in the present conjuncture, posing important dilemmas in this 21st century.
