Abstract

In the process of formulating public policies, future studies have proven to be an efficient alternative. The article proposes to analyze the international scientific production on studies of futures and public policies. Regarding the methodology, the work is framed as a descriptive/quantitative, bibliographic research with the support of bibliometric analysis from the ProKnow-C method. The objective was met by presenting a study compiling which authors, areas, keywords and methodologies of futures studies are most used in certain areas in the induction of public policies. This article provides knowledge in identifying the theme applied in the formulation of public policies to encourage research, as long as they are
used with the necessary adaptations to the realities encountered.
