Abstract

Decolonial thought challenges paradigms and questions the legacy of global colonialism. This article explores works that invest in developing this debate, supported by interdisciplinarity, in favor of more sensitive social investigations that value the voices of the people. Therefore, this epistemological research proposes approaches that value popular science and territorial praxis in a methodological path supported by theorists who contributed to the construction of inclusive territorialities. The considerations that centered this reflection point to an essential aspect: the challenge of emerging towards a new understanding, overcoming the entrenched Eurocentric influence, to achieve a more authentic and contextualized comprehension of Latin American reality.
