Abstract

This article is a product of bibliographical, documentary research and exploration of official websites of institutions and Monetary Transfer programs. It is located within the scope of the Project: Focused monetary transfer programs and
universal basic income in the context of the pandemic and post-pandemic of covid-19: monitoring and analysis of reality in Latin America and the Caribbean. The article proposes to present preliminary results of Programs implemented
across the continents, previously and during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Therefore, the general objective is to identify, systematize, problematize and publicize the history, debate, formulation and implementation of monetary transfer programs in Latin American and Caribbean countries. Preliminary results reveal the prevalence of these programs in terms of social
protection policy for the poor population in Latin America and the Caribbean.
