Abstract

The article presents partial results of interinstitutional research that problematizes early childhood education policy and social assistance services for the elderly in their relationship with women's paid work, in a context of care crisis, exacerbated by the pandemic and in a familial structure of social policies. It problematizes the different aspects of familism in political conception, access and the different ways in which related social movements politicize or not the tensions between work and family responsibilities. It characterizes the possibilities for the Brazilian State and the aforementioned social policies to impact class, gender, race and generation inequalities in paid and unpaid work.
