The present work aims to analyze the books Memórias and Memórias Inacabadas, by Humberto de Campos, under the autobiographical theory of Philippe Lejeune. For that, we used the first two essays of the French writer to demonstrate, in a practical way, the evolution of his theory. Thus, we use the works of Lejeune (2014a; 2014b), Agra (2014), the critical fortune on the analyzed work contained in Montello (2018a; 2018b; 2018c) in addition to the underlying reports of Campos (2010a; 2010b) and Campos Filho (1997). It is noticed, when making contact with the theory about autobiography, that Lejeune, in abandoning his hermetic initial position, manages to postulate principles that provide a better subsumption of theory to the object. Thus, he expands his studies not only with regard to the depth of the analysis of objects but also to the list of objects studied. In this way, it is possible to analyze Humberto de Campos' autobiography under different perspectives from the same theorist.
