Abstract

The article presents a reflection on Law 10.639/03, as well as the directions in the production of multicultural repertoires in basic education in the country, specifically, linked to the themes of African History, Afro-Brazilian and indigenous culture. Based on the assumption that current school curricula position legislation in the fight against the reproduction of values, worldviews and colonial models. In the understanding that the education of ethnic-racial relations has uncovered the 'silence' of memories, knowledge, particularities and Afro- diasporic and indigenous experiences equally attacked by incendiary capitalism that systematically reproduces inequalities. Understanding these effects, based on critical-dialectical rationality, sheds light on the challenges of Brazilian society, precisely this contribution that constitutes the objective of this theoretical text.
