Abstract

The agenda of the oppressed and their epistemologies inaugurate research in the social and human sciences that problematizes the hegemony of Eurocentric science as a standard for the production of knowledge and global power. In this study, we analyze which theoretical-practical foundations are articulated between Popular Education and decolonial thinking as an epistemic matrix of questioning and praxis opposed to the dynamics of oppression, domination, exploitation and social inequalities, as a possibility of composing a research agenda that considers these convergences. A documentary survey was carried out at the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), considering the production of works that articulate the themes of Popular Education and decolonial thought, with a view to identifying possible contributions to the research agenda on critical thinking in the face of coloniality of power.
