Abstract

The analytical-conceptual paper explores the relationship between professional training, work and public policies, emphasizing on public health policy. It aims to understand the temporalities in the multiple dimensions involved in the challenging integration between the world of training, work within public policies, and professional intervention in a context of
widening social inequality marked by the confluence of multiple crises – economic, political, health and humanitarian – resulting in a shrinking of the universal scope of public policies, and weakening democracy. At the same time, the crise strains the health system, due to the increase in morbidity/mortality exacerbated by covid-19. In this perspective, we focused in the intrinsic relationship between epistemicities, rationalities and the evolving nature of and in the training process in Social Work.
