This article on Social Pedagogy reflects about the possible contributions at organizing the field
of knowledge of Spanish Social Pedagogy for Social Education practices in Brazil; part of a systematic and
continuous research on non-school educational practices by the Study, Research and Extension Group Outside the Classroom, at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) since 2016. Based on the reflections of language authors Spanish, such as Mendizábal (2017), Serrano, Llamas; Fernández-García (2014), Krichesky (2011), Esteban (2005) and Esteban, Gómez and Martínez (2013), the work defines the field of Social Pedagogy, the organization of Social Pedagogy in Spain, the references used by this field to shape practices throughout historical time-space and possible relationships – encounters and disagreements – with some existing practices and realities in the context of Brazilian Social Education. In this way, we can infer that the
reflective exercise on social educational practices in other realities, such as Spain, is relevant so that we can build a reflective path on non-school educational practices, enhancing an important theoretical field for thinking about new educational practices and attitudes towards socio-educational challenges in our country.
