Resumo

RESUMO: Os veículos on-line veem-se diante do desafio da combinação, reorganização,conexão e reunião (multi)midiática na era da convergência que, para Salaverría (2003),apresenta quatro dimensões: tecnológica, empresarial, profissional e comunicativa. O objetivodeste artigo é identificar e analisar esse processo no contexto atual e as dimensões
convergentes no webjornalismo regional. Para tanto, o Imirante.com foi escolhido por ser oportal de notícias com maior destaque no Maranhão. Constatou-se que o veículo explora asdimensões da convergência, que não são níveis excludentes, mas sim complementares naconstrução do jornalismo na era da convergência.

ABSTRACT: The online vehicles are faced with the challenge of combining, reorganizing,connecting and (multi) mediatic meeting in the era of convergence which, for Salaverría(2003), presents four dimensions: technological, business, professional and communicative.
The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze this process in the current context and the convergent dimensions in regional webjournalism. Therefore Imirante.com was chosen because it is the most prominent news portal in Maranhão. It was concluded that the vehicle explores the dimensions of convergence, which are not exclusive but complementary levels inthe construction of journalism in the age of convergence.
