Abstract

RESUMO: O Departamento de Pesquisa e Documentação do Jornal do Brasil detém o pioneirismo da introdução do jornalismo interpretativo no país. Este estudo concentra-se no levantamento da história do DPD do JB. Do processo de implantação à evolução para uma editoria autônoma (1962 a 1974). Nascido sob o referencial do New Journalism norteamericano, com características literárias que o aproximam da ficção, o jornalismo interpretativo implantado por Alberto Dines no Jornal do Brasil, a partir de 1964, exibe
personalidade própria. Difere de seu modelo e apresenta-se original.

ABSTRACT: The Department of Research and Documentation of the Periodical of Brazil withholds the pioneirism of the introduction of the interpretative journalism in the country. This study it is concentrated in the survey of the history of the DPD of the JB. Of the process of implantation to the evolution for an independent editorial (1962 the 1974). Been born under the reference of the New North American Journalism, with literary
characteristics that approach it to the fiction, the interpretative journalism implanted by Alberto Dines in the Periodical of Brazil, from 1964, shows proper personality. It differs from its model and it is presented original.
