REDES E DESCENTRALIZAÇÃO DO PODER: reflexões artísticas sobre uma sociedade mais igualitária e democrática

Resumo

RESUMO: Esse artigo aborda os recentes movimentos de difusão de redes e do contato entre pessoas que contraria a centralização do poder e o modus operandi da sociedade disciplinar. A partir do trabalho de três artistas – o dramaturgo David Edgar, o escultor Al Anatsui e a performer Priscilla Davanzo –, busca-se entender o incomodo gerado por essas imposições
remanescentes do colonialismo e do imperialismo europeus e as alterações que elas vêm causando. O estudo propõe que os movimentos em rede, e a arte como um sintoma desses movimentos, podem ser um caminho para uma sociedade mais igualitária e verdadeiramente democrática.

ABSTRACT: This article discusses the recent movements of networks diffusion and thecontact between people that opposes the centralization of power and the modus operandi ofthe disciplinary society. Taking as examples the work of three artists - the playwright David Edgar, the sculptor Al Anatsui and the performancer Priscilla Davanzo – this work tries to
understand the disconfort generated by these remnant impositions of European colonialism and imperialism and the alterations they have been causing. The study proposes that network movements, and art as a symptom of these movements, can be a path to a more egalitarian,
liberal and truly democratic society.
