Communication and Education field have different origins, but constantly intertwined. The media cannot be excluded from the education process, but incorporated into daily actions and teaching practices. Technology enables constant immersion for teenagers and teachers do not always accompany them and take advantage of these technological dynamics for learning. In this sense, the research's central objective was to develop sound products with formal and non-formal educational content. We administered questionnaires to high school teachers in the State of Maranhão (Brazil) and produced podcasts with the aim of enhancing the use of audio as a methodology in the classroom. The results of the questionnaires point to knowledge of podcast media among teachers however there is little use of this media as a facilitating instrument in the teaching-learning process.
