Abstract

It´s understood that trainning for teaching involves curricular practices with aspects focused on genders and sexualities, despite being taboo and suffer diferent attacks by the public power. This article aims to discuss aspects related to teacher and continuing education, as well as curricular practices, pointing out a possible way, in dark times, with course contributions Bodies and Diversity in Education, offered by Federal University of Maranhão. Some assumptions of teacher training in the country are presented, as a way of trying to understand the complexity that exists in the exercise of classroom, in relation to genders and sexualities, emphasizing that many male e female teachers carry with them insecurities, doubts, ignorance, fears and taboo, fruits of your life trajectory, including sex education and the experience of sexuality they had. However, the training processes of the education professional should aim at the development of a pedagogical practice linked to respect for gender and sexual differences and diversity, pointing out these issues need to be highlighted both in curricular practices that justify pedagogical projects of schools and in the processes of construction of the teachers’ practices in the school routine.
