Abstract

This study analyzes the discourse of two texts broadcast on social networks on the internet and two televised reports. replicated in cyberspace, about racial prejudice. The objective of this study is to analyze the discourse, describe the ideology, and value systems implicit in the texts, in addition to discussing the role of the media, as a vehicle of educational discourse regarding combating crimes of prejudice. Through this discursive analysis, it is possible not only to highlight the way in which intersubjective relations are manifested in the media context, but also to reveal contemporary ideological representations on the racial theme. For this study, we used the semiotic methodology. On the other hand, there are discourses with an educational intention that are not developed at school, opening space for a discussion about the role of the media, as a vehicle for educational and preventive discourses
